Unknown to Argenti. Many of the persons on this branch are included in Zolotas. The logical placement of this line, which has living descendants, is based on an assessment of names and dates as well as the contents of a letter [in Greek, translated into French] written by this man's putative great-grandson, also named Paul, in 1930 (Michael Agelasto & Georgios Agelastos, 2007). | Agelasto, Eustratios (Stamati) (I546)
|
18339 |
Unknown to Argenti. Mentioned in Zolotas as belonging to the Vitella branch of the Mavrogordato family. Given the contents of Paul [(Eustratios)] Agelastos' letter, we believe her to be the sister of Pandely (Dimitrios) Mavrogordato, 1823-1898, known to Argenti. Paul mentions a connection to Sir Lucas Ralli, through his grand-father's wife, a Mavrogardato of Alexandria. This, we believe, to be the sister of Pandely, who lived in Alexandria at the time and who was Sir Lucas' maternal great-grand-father. (Michael Agelasto & Georgios Agelastos)
| Mavrogordato, Batoliá (I520)

18340 |
Unknown to Argenti. The information here comes from a 1929 letter from Smaragda Fotiadis (née Agelasto) to her nephew Nicolaos Agelasto, b 1910-d 1945) (2007, Constantin Agelasto collection, deciphered and translated by George Agelasto). http://www.agelastos.com/genealogy/documents/SMARAGDA_1929_letter.html | Agelasto, Emmanuel (Michael) (I455)
|
18341 |
Unknown to Argenti. The names and dates are consistant for this line, which has living descendants (Michael Agelasto & Georgios Agelastos, 2007) | Agelasto, Stamati (Paul) (I522)
|
18342 |
Unknown to Argenti. This man gets mixed up with a non-existent eponymous nephew (son of his brother Demosthenes). In Argenti this erroneous person appears as Agelasto no. 54. | Eugenidi, Eustathios (Anastasios) (I770)
|
18343 |
Unknown to Argenti. This placement of Paul, although problematic, seems the best fit for the data. The name continuity makes the Paul line logically go here on the Psomas branch. Information on Paul and his ancestry comes from Zolotas and is contained in a letter this man's grandson, also named Paul, wrote (We have a French translation, the provenance of which is unknown.) Although relevant birth, marriage or death certificates don't exist, a legal document from Chios establishes Paul's presence there and says that he had brothers. On occasion Argenti omitted and misplaced individuals; that's what could have happened in this case. The length between generations is excessive (suggesting we have missed a generation), but marriages and births that occurred around the 1822 Diaspora may well have been delayed. (Michael Agelasto) | Agelasto, Paul (Stamati) (I519)
