    Name:
Augustinos I. Agelastos was presumably born between 1815 and 1820 (his wife was 52 in 1887, so I presume he must have been about 60 at the time he died). His father's "official" name was apparently Ioannis, which is the same as Zannis. LDS (familysearch.com) listed on 11 Mar 2001 a Marietta Agelasto birth abt 1820, Constantinople, marriage abt 1841, Constantinople.

Marietta J[ohn] Ziffo is buried in the Ziffo tomb, Sisli Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Istanbul, Turkey. If her death year (1825, at the age of 25) is correct, she could be John S. Ziffo´s grandmother, which again implies that his grandfather was also a John. That is a reasonable guess but doesn´t correspond with our TNG entry (George Agelastos).

Marietta married Stephanos (Paul) Ziffo on 19 Oct 1829 in Syros, Cyclades Islands, Greece. Stephanos (son of Paul (Stephanos) Ziffo and Penelope [Ziffo]) was born in 1791 in Chios, Greece; died on 13 Sep 1889 in Syros, Cyclades Islands, Greece. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
