| 1. | Lt. John Alfred (Percy) Jones was born on 31 Mar 1920 in 71 Bronson Road, Merton, Croydon, Surrey, England UK; died on 24 Aug 1944 in Greenland. Notes:
In October 1940 he escaped from the North of France with the help of a French nurse and members of the Resistance and reached Spain. He was then imprisoned for a few months and finally returned to England in 1941. (Alice Annandale, 2020)
