His wife and children appear to have lived in Trieste while he was in London and traveling elsewhere. A Giovanni M. Rodocanachi of Franghiadi & Rodocanachi had business premises at 9 Finsbury Circus 1846-49 and 60 Moorgate 1850-53.
Was he connected with the firm of G. M. Rodocanachi at 28 Deansgate, Manchester in 1845?(Christopher Long)
He appears to have been an active and frequently mentioned member of the London Greek community from 1839-48 (though often absent from meetings). He left his business to his nephews Leoni (Zannis) and Paul (Zannis) Rodocanachi, brothers.

Apparently trading in Rio de Janeiro under the name of João Baptista Rodocanachi & Co., 1856-1890.
Almanak Administrativo, Mercantil e Industrial do Rio de Janeiro, 1881, p 182, under rubric "accrescimos e alteracoes; sobrevindos durante a impressao" [changes that arose during printing], cited on p. 88: João Baptista Rodocanachi, Observatorio Astronomico (68). Apparently, he was omitted from the listing under names beginning with João. His son João Ernesto was employed there.
Often introduced in shipping news items in the 1860s, Diário do Rio de Janeiro, as 'o grego' [the Greek]. By 1870 he worked with the company Franghiadi & Rodocanachi.

A death notice appeared in The Leeds Mercury, 28 Nov 1891 for P.G. Rodocanachi but it appears to be for this man. It reads: "Mr. P.G. Rodocanachi has died at his residence, in Sefton Park, Liverpool. The deceased gentleman had been a member of the firm of Messrs. Ralli Brothers, Greek merchants, whose commercial enterprise is so well known thruoghout Lancashire. Aged 71." An earlier notice, produced in the same newspaper three days earlier, was longer and even more glowing.
