    She lived in Marseille in 1829 with her brother Michel while her sons John and Pandia were cared for in Germany by a charity, The Society of The Friends of Greece in Altenburg.

    The website Familles Parentes et Alliées, has Jenny Sagrandi (daughter of Jean Eustache Sagrandi and Calliope Ivanova) married to Nn Sternickel, b. Austria. This putative union produced two daughters: Olga Sternickel and Frida Sternickel. No documentary evidence is presented in support of this claim.

    This individual should not be confused with a man identified by Argenti: Pandely (John) Sagrandi (b. 3 Aug 1850 - d. 22 Oct 1890; son of Catherine George Psychas [1831 - 27 Jan 1891] & John Pandia Sagrandi [1814 - 28 Apr 1886, Athens], who was a famous Manchester cigarette manufacturer and merchant, in business and bankruptcy with Augustus Cozi Agelasto. One website has made this mistake.

    The data in this line come from his marriage certificate. His descendants appear on the website Familles Parentes et Alliées, administered by Francoise Bernard Bries. This man is not listed in the 1860 Syros census with his parents. His The marriage certificate says he is eldest son, but that position -- according to the census -- belongs to Eustratios, b. 1846. This confirms to Greek naming tradition (after the paternal grandfather). Note that both putative parents were reported to have died before his marriage so they were not then alive to provide information to the registrar.

    He arrived in Algeria in 1868.
