- He was a liquidator for the London Bank of Scotland (Limited) (London Gazette 12 Sep 1864).
- A bankruptcy was jointly declared by two Franghiadi families in London, 1870. Their business operated as merchants, 31 New Broad Street, London, and in Liverpool, Rio de Janeiro, Trieste, New York, and New Orleans. In addition to he and his son Stephen, it involved Stephen [Emmanuel] Franghiadi & his son Emanuel Stephen (London Gazette 25 Mar 1870, 13 May 1870, 6 July 1875). A third and fourth dividend paid 1s. 4d. and 10d. in the pound, respectively (London Gazette 13 Aug 1872, 24 July 1874). This involves Emmanuel George Franghiadi, Ilford Hall, Ilford, Essex; Stephen F. of 77 Cambridge Terrace, Hyde Park and Emmanuel Stephen F of Ilford Hall. [6]

- The 1851 England Census reports the household living at 18 Finsbury Circus, London: Emanuel G. Franghiadi, 34, general merchant; wife Mary, 31, both born Chios; children Eliza, 8; Stephen, 5; and Semiranus, 2, all born City of London; and four domestic servants.
- 8 Jul 1841: Emmanuel Z. Franghiadis, 28, married, born Chios, arrived Syros 1830, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis.
