He was in a partnership that George Demetrius Vouro and Anthony Theodore Rodocanachi quit, effective 1 Dec 1873; it also included Constantine Theodore Rodocanachi; operating at London, Liverpool, and Alexandria, as Rodocanachi Brothers and Company; at London and Liverpool, as Vouro and Rodocanachi; and at Alexandria (London Gazette 13 Jan 1874). John Theodore Rodocanachi, 43 Palmerston Buildings, London; Pandia Rodocanachi, Alexandria; Theodore Rodocanachi, Marseille; and Theodore Paul Rodocanachi, Odessa, all merchants, were investors in the Bank of Alexandria Limited (London Gazette 27 Feb 1873). John T. Rodocanachi was listed as a member of the Baltic Exchange, 1886 (Harlaftis, A History of Greek-owned Shipping, p. 58). The 1891 England Census reports the household living at 64 Gloucester Terrace, Paddington: Fanny Rodocanachi, 46, wife, married, born Constantinople; children Alexandra, 26, nursing student, born Alexandria, Egypt; Theodore J., 18, commission merchant, born Trieste; Hypatia, 18, painting student; Ambrose J, 14 science student; Marie, 8; Jenny, 7, all born Paddington and four domestic servants. 1862: John Theo Rodocanachi worked for Argenti Sechiari according to the Thacker's Directories, Calcutta. [7] He administered the estate of his sister Alexandra. John Rodocanachi [64 Gloucester Terrace] appears on the 1890, 1892, 1893, 1894; [199 Gloucester Terrace] 1895, 1896, 1897, 1898, 1899, 1900 UK electoral register, Paddington South parliamentary division, Westminster county/borough.
