Etienne Zafiropulo, Marseille, merchant, was an investor in the Bank of Alexandria Limited (London Gazette 27 Feb 1873). Perhaps this man's grandfather, who is discussed at length in Calapodis.

Twenty beds in La Vieille-chapelle, villa 'Le Ruisselet,' were endowed by the Fondation de la Colonie Grecque de Marseille, of which Etienne Zafiropulo was listed as an honored member, Livre d'or / de l'Assistance aux convalescents militaires, rattachée au Ministère de la guerre, XVe région, 1916, Marseille, p. 210.
