Author of 1453: Les Derniers Jours de Constantinople (Paris, Leroux, 1883) & Grecs & Turcs (1899) etc., as well as other historical and philosophical publications; translator (from the German, of Les Giustiniani: Dynastes de Chios; Etude Historique, by Karl Hopf [Paris, Leroux, 1888]).

He was a signatory witness to the 1878 Marseille marriage of Theodore Pierre Vlasto & Despine Ralli.

1892: E.A. Vlasto worked for Ralli Bros. according to the Thacker's Directories, Calcutta.

Stefanos A. Vlasto, 27, b. Chios, unmarried, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek state on 19 Jul 1858 at the Greek consulate Taiga [Russia].

Et-A Vlasto, Ramleh San Stephano, Alexandria, Egypt, is listed as a member in Revue des études grecques (Paris), 1897.

Stephanos married Marietta (Ambrouzis) Ralli in 1860 in Alexandria, Egypt. Marietta (daughter of Ambrouzis (Theodore) Ralli and Franga (Zorzis) Franghiadi) was born in 1842 in Syros, Cyclades Islands, Greece; died on 02 Sep 1913 in Alexandria, Egypt. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Antony married Calliope (Stephanos) Ralli. Calliope was born in 1811 in Smyrna/Izmir, Turkey; died on 15 Feb 1895 in cours du Chapitre 11, Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur,France; was buried on 17 Feb 1895 in St. Pierre Cemetery, Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. According to the 1856 Marseille census, as a widow she was living at allees de Meilhan 41, with her children Pandia Vlasto, 13, and Theodore Vlasto, 14.

Three children of Stephanos Ambrouzis Ralli & Despina Omiro -- Calliope and her siblings Alexandra and Ambrouzis -- are on the Negroponte-Agelasto tree.

The "late Mrs. Calliope Vlasto (a daughter of Stephen Ambrose Ralli Chattas)" is thanked by the authors in the introduction to A Pedigree of the Rallis of Scio.
