    Effective 31 Mar 1860 he along with Stephen Paul Rodocanachi, Theodore Pandia Rodocanachi, Peter Pandia Rodocanachi, Theodore Matteo Mavrogordato, and Ambrosio Mavrogordato, quit the several partnerships as Merchants, operating at St. Petersburgh, under the firm of Theodore Paul Rodocanachi; at Liverpool and New York, under the firm of Peter Pandia Rodocanachi; and at Constantinople, under the firm of Paul [Saul Emmanuel] Rodocanachi and Co; at Paris, under the firm of Peter [Emmanuel] Rodocanachi; at Odessa and Taganrog, under the firm of Theodore Paul Rodocanachi; at London and Leghorn, under the firm of Rodocanachi, Sons, and Co.; and at Marseilles, under the firm of Paul and Theodore Rodocanachi. Partners who signed the legal statement in addition to those mentioned above included M. E. Rodocanachi, D. N. Petrocochino, Th. Rodocanachi, Georges M. Mavrogordato and Pandely Rodocanachi. Mavrogordato as merhants, at London under the firm of P.P. Rodocanachi and Co.; at St. Petersburg under the firm of Th.P. Rodocanachi and Co.; at Odessa and Nicolaief under the firm of Th. Mavrogordato and Co.; at Rostoff under the firm of C. N. Mavrogordato; and at Marseilles under the firm of M.E. Rodocanachi and Co. (London Gazette 6 Jan 1874).

    C.N. Mavrogordato served as the General Consul of Greece in Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don, 1830s-1860s (Harlaftis, A History of Greek-owned Shipping, p. 56).

    Spring 1836: Constantine N. Mavrogordato, 28, unmarried, born Chios, arrived Syros 1832, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at The Orthodox Church of Christ's Transfiguration (Metamorphosis), Ermoupolis, Syros.

    "An American consular dispatch, dated 23/7 March 1879, mentions that C.N. Mavrocordato was acting as agent in wool shipments for the firm of P.P. Rodocanachi in London."
