    A.N. Alexandroff and his wife Catherine were involved in litigation concerning the estate of her uncle Temistocles Aslan, merchant, who died 29 Mar 1867, Cairo. The principle beneficiary was his widow Cariclia; this was also contested by the deceased's brother, Sophocles.

    Through his will, dated 4 Dec 1886, with a codicil of 28 Jan 1898, he "bequeathed to his wife £20,000, his household effects, and the use and enjoyment during her life of the Sedgley Mount estate, and, subject to her best interest in trust for his son John. Excepting a bequest of £500 to his sister, Calliope Canischeri, he left his rosiduary estate in trust, in equal shares, for his two sons" - John and Andreas. Valued at £32,411 4s 10d gross, including personalty of the net value of £28,385 ?s" (Manchester Times 4 Aug 1899; Liverpool Mercury 1 Aug 1899).

    He was partners with Theseus Psicha, Alexander Antonio Ralli (who retired from the firm 30 Sep 1899), George Constantine Ralli, Constantine Constantine Ralli, Pandeli Constantine Ralli, Anthony Theodore Ralli and Constantine Theodore Ralli general merchants partners, in Ralli & Psicha, 16 Fenwick Street, Liverpool and as Ralli Sons and Co., in Alexandria and Talcha, Egypt (London Gazette 17 Nov 1899).

    He was vice-president of the Municipal Commission of Alexandria, the first self-governing city in the Middle East (Andrew Serjeant).

    In his will of 23 Oct 1901 Stephen Augustus Ralli left to his widow £15,000 owed him by his brother-in-law Ambrose Antonio Ralli (Evening Express [Liverpool], 21 May 1902.
