1871 Wales census finds Franga Negroponte, 3, boarding at 27 Church Street, Beaumaris, Anglesey, with the families of John W. Ambrose, 52, bookseller, his wife Elizabeth, 55; and John Barrow, 61, bookseller, his wife Julia, 40, both b. London and their daughter Rosa, 5, born New York, and borders from Chicago and Ireland and a servant.
