4. | Paul (Leoni) Agelasto was born about 1814 in Chios, Greece (son of Leoni (Stamati) Agelasto and Battou (Ambrosios) Negroponte); died in 1885 in Constantinople/Istanbul Turkey. Notes:
Based on the accounting records of St John Church, Georgiadis makes an alphabetical list of Chiot enterprises [of Constantinople] that sponsored the Church in the time from 1843 to 1880. There is no mention of year/date. Included among Agelastos enterprises is: Pavlos L. Agelastos.
In a memorandum from a general meeting of the St John community, dated 1 Apr 1865, Georgiadis says that "P. L. Agelastos" is among the community members present.

28 Dec 1846: Paul L. Agelasto, 32, married, born Chios, arrived Syros 1837, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, as had his brother Ambrosios the previous year.
Paul Leonidas Agelasto, 54, was on the voter list for Syros, 1869.
Paul Agelasto, Constantinople, is listed among the diaspora Greeks donating 400 [Ottoman pounds] to a fund for the Thebes earthquake in 1853. Castelis & Agelasto donated 1000.
Paul married Angeliki (Nicolas) Calvocoressi in 1843 in Constantinople/Istanbul Turkey. Angeliki (daughter of Nicolas (Zannis) Calvocoressi and Chryssi [Calvocoressi]) was born in 1829 in Constantinople/Istanbul Turkey; died in 1903 in Constantinople/Istanbul Turkey. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
