  1. 1.  Constantin (Theodoris) Ralli was born in 1820 in Chios, Greece (son of Theodoris Eustratius (Strati) Ralli and Marouko (Stephanos) Galati); died on 04 Feb 1880 in Chios, Greece.

    Notes:

    Constantine Theodore Ralli was partners in the firm of Ralli and Mavrojani, in London, Manchester, Calcutta, Corfu, and Constantinople, and under the firm of Ralli, Vlasto, and Co., in Marseilles, until it expired 31 Dec 1855. Other partners included: Alexander Ralli [possibly Alexander (Michalis) Ralli ], Theodore Ralli [possibly Theodore (Michalis) Ralli], Spiridion Mavrojani, Peter I. Vlasto [possibly Petros (Zannis) Vlasto], Ambrose Theodore Ralli, Pandia Theodore Ralli, Demetrio The. Ralli, and James The. Ralli.

    At the end of 1849 Constantine Theodore Rulli (sic) quit the several partnerships with M.E. Rodocanachi and Th.P. Rodocandchi at London, Marseilles, Leghorn, Odessa, and Taganrog, under the firm of Rodocanachi, Sons, and Co.; and at Constantinople under the firm of P. Rodocanachi and Co. (London Gazette 1 Jan 1850).

    Constantine T. Ralli and A.T. Ralli were in partnership as Merchants, at London, as Theodore Ralli, Sons and Co.; at Odessa, as C.T. Ralli and Co.; at Marseilles, as Ralli, Veasto [Vlasto], and Co.; and at Calcutta, as P.T. Ralli and Co., until dissolved 31 Dec 1861 (London Gazette 3 Jan 1862).

    Four children of Theodoris Eustratius Ralli & Marouko Stephanos Galati -- Constantine, Ambrosios, Catherine, and Loxander -- are on the Agelasto or Negroponte-Agelasto trees.

    Constantine T. Ralli (along with his brother Pandias) is among the 12 Greek youths brought to New York between 1823-1831 by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions.

    "Six of the Greek youths, who have received instruction from the missionaries of the Board at Malta, have been sent to this country, during the past year, for the purpose of enjoying the literary and religious advantages, with which a kind Providence has so abundantly favored us...[arrived] in May...the father of Constantino and Pandias was one of those hostages from Scio, who were cruelly put to death, by order of the Grand Seignor, at Constantinople; and when Scio was destroyed, Mrs. Ralli barely escaped with her children from the dreadful carnage." He was studying at an academy in Munson, MA in 1823.

    Ralli Mavrojani was the oldest Greek house in India, established in 1852.

    In 1873 Konstantin Ralli owned property at Preobrazhenskii St., Odessa, Russia, assessed at 30,000 rubles.

    K Th Ralli, Odessa, is listed among the diaspora Greeks donating 100 [rubles] to a fund for the Thebes earthquake in 1853.
