    Emil had a second marriage: to Hilda Celestino, whose burial was noted in Jornal do Brasil, 7 Jul 1939, p. 23. The notice mentions E. E. Bechtinger's children Violeta [later married Rangel], Ivone [later married Simon], and Roberto. Roberto Celestino Bechtinger (10 May 1930 - 27 Apr 2008, buried Natal, RN, Brazil) married Zuleika Goncalves Vieira. They had a son Roberto Bechtinger and two daughters Viviane Bechtinger (m Lahamar) and Elyane Vieira Bechtinger (m Castro). Roberto and Zuleika divorced; Roberto remarried (Solange) and they had a son, Eric Bechtinger (b. Los Angeles). Zuleika never remarried.

    3 Mar 1836: Hypatios M. Rodocanachi, 16, single, born Chios, arrived Syros 1820, student, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros.

    Apparently trading in Rio de Janeiro under the name of Joćo Baptista Rodocanachi & Co., 1856-1890.

    Almanak Administrativo, Mercantil e Industrial do Rio de Janeiro, 1881, p 182, under rubric "accrescimos e alteracoes; sobrevindos durante a impressao" [changes that arose during printing], cited on p. 88: Joćo Baptista Rodocanachi, Observatorio Astronomico (68). Apparently, he was omitted from the listing under names beginning with Joćo. His son Joćo Ernesto was employed there.

    Often introduced in shipping news items in the 1860s, Diįrio do Rio de Janeiro, as 'o grego' [the Greek]. By 1870 he worked with the company Franghiadi & Rodocanachi.

    Hypatios married Anna Clarisse (Joćo) Midosi. Anna died after 1871. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
