    On being informed by letter of her marriage (after the fact) by her daughter Errieta, she wrote that she "regretfully considered her dughter's decision folly, predicted that it would come to a melacholy conclusion but nevertheless hoped against hope that she might find happiness on the unheard-of island [Skyros] where she now elected to live with a man young enough to be her son."

    Argenti says 24 May 1866, but this conflicts with the 12 May 1866 date of baptism, according to the church register.

    Grove Street, according to the baptism register, probably means the residence on Falkner Terrace, the cross street.

He is also included, 1870, on the list of persons "objected to, as not being entitled to have their names retained in the list of persons qualified to vote."

    11 Apr 1840: Augustus St. Agelasto, 23, unmarried, born Chios, merchant, arriving Syros 1827, swore allegiance to the government at the town hall, Ermoupolis.

    An A.S.Agelasto is listed as the manager of the Bank of Constantinople (The Times [London], 10 Mar 1884; Pall Mall Gazette 10 Mar 1884) but this could be a misprint as his son, Stephen Augustus Agelasto, held this position.

    Along with other Liverpool merchants in the Levant trade, he signed a petition to the city's Dock Committee asking them to extend dock on the Liverpool rather than the Cheshire side of the Mercy (Liverpool Mercury, 30 Oct 1857).

    according to unpublished research by Demetrios Melachrinoudis. According to Reports on Hygiene Institutions of Chios by the same author, she also contributed to the hospital in 1874.
