38 Threadneedle St, London, England

photo 2009; Bank of Scotland, former South Sea House. With the repeal of the Corn Laws and the boom in trading that followed, the Baltic Exchange moved to the South Sea House (between 1857 - 1866) and then left the Threadneedle Street building in 1903 for the location now occupied by 30 St Mary Axe [The Gherkin]. Augustus C Agelasto, merchant, was located at South Sea House, Threadneedle St (1880-1884).
