    On the list of graves in the churchyard of St John of the Chiots, Georgiadis mentions the grave of "Hypatia, daughter of Stamatios Agelastos from Chios, born 23 March 1857, died 24 October 1862." The other recorded Stamatios Agelastos in Constantinople had a daughter named Hypatia about this time.

    In his book George Zarifi says "Catherine Psomadis married an Agelasto in Belgium". He might, though, have meant: an Agelasto [who was living and working] in Belgium. That actually leaves the question unanswered--where exactly the marriage took place--but doesn´t make things less confusing. (George Agelastos)
