He and his brother Theodore were involved in the initial deliberations to found an orthodox church at Marseille. Along with his brother he represented Greek interests in Marseille, was among the few Greeks who sought naturalization before 1821, and was among the best agents of the insurrection.
His father Emmanuel appears to be the author of letters regarding Livorno commerce, dated 1825-1826, Leipzig, Imprimerie Drougoulino, 1885.
In 1866 the Prassacachi shipping firm won a legal dispute -- Bonnal vs. Prassachachi et al. -- that was widely reported. See: Journal du Palais (Paris), 1868, pp. 193-194; J-B. Sirey, Recueil général des lois et des arrêts : en matière civile, criminelle, commerciale et de droit public, 1869, pp. 18-19. In 1859 their involvement in another case had also drawn wide attention: a shipment of grain on the Austrian vessel Marizza was seized as it entered Marseille. See: La Press, 15 Jul 1859, p. 2.
