    The 1860 Census for Ermoupolis, Syros, reports a household consisting of Stephanos Galati, no profession, married, male, parent; Helen St. Galati, 50, female, parent, married; with the following unmarried male children: Constantine, Lysandros, John and George, all merchants; Paul, clerk/writer; and Andreas, student; daughters Marietta, 19; Catherine, 15 [listed as married, merchant, a computer glitch?]; Mimina, 12; also, Margarita, 78, widow. The 1870 Census: Stephanos Galati, merchant, married, male, parent; wife Helen Galati, daughter of John Negroponte, 48, origin Chios with the following male children: Constantine, also married; and Lysandros, John, Paul and George, all merchants, and Andreas, no profession, all unmarried; daughters Marietta, 28, married; Catherine, 24, single; Mimina, 21, single, all origin Ermoupolis.

    The 1871 England Census reports the household at 95 Grove Street, Liverpool, headed by Lysander Galatti, 35, and brother George, 24, both unmarried cotton broker, b. Syra, Greece.

    The 1881 British Census reports that George S. Galatti, 37, unmarried, hide-tanning material broker, born in Syros, Greece, naturalized British subject, was visiting 25 Mulgrave St., Toxteth Park, Liverpool.

    The 1891 British Census reports that George S. Galatti, 47, unmarried, Greek native, commission agent, lodged at 9 Normandy St., Toxteth Park, Liverpool.

    Liverpool Electoral Registers, 1894-1895: George Stpehen (sic) Galatti, 88 Mulgrave street (abode); 9 Granville Buildings, 14 Tithebarn Street (counting house); 1899-1900: George Stephen Gallatti, 27 Sydenham Avenue (house).

    11 Feb 1865: George S.G. Galati, 21, unmarried, born Ermoupolis, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros.

    3 Apr 1867: George St.K. Galati, 24, unmarried, born Ermoupolis, clerk, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros.

    He was in partnership with Constantine James Negreponte [possibly Constantine (Jacob) Negroponte], and his brothers Lysander Stephen Galatti and Andrew Stephen Galatti as cotton brokers, at the Exchange Buildings, Liverpool, England until dissolved 21 Jun 1875 (London Gazette 17 Aug 1875).

    Along with brothers Lysander Stephen Galatti, Andrew Stephen Galatti and Richard Willis Wilkinson he was in copartnership as Cotton Brokers, at Exchange Buildings, Liverpool, as Galatti and Co., until it was dissolved 22 June 1876 (London Gazette 4 July 1876).

    George Galatti attended the Sep 1897 Liverpool funeral of Ambrose Anthony Vlasto (Liverpool Mercury, 28 Sep 1897).
