    • A George L. Ziffo, Ziffo Sons & Co., London was involved in a legal case, Tamvaco v. Lucas, which went to the Privy Council, House of Lords, 1861. The matter concerned goods shipped on The Alice Gill.
    • A Mr. Ziffo was involved in a legal case, Vagliano v Bank of England, which went to the Privy Council, House of Lords, 1889. Ziffo was the out-of-door manager and confidential secretary to Vagliano.
