- Predeceased his mother according to the latter's obituary.
- From the Nanaimo [British Columbia] News Bulletin, 3 Jun 2015 and Vancouver Sun and/or The Province, 6 May 2015:
Our beloved Andrew left us suddenly. In his too short life he experienced the world through extensive travel, exercised his many talents (carpentry, gardening, painting, pottery, writing, design) and had careers in social work, child education and photography. He is mourned by the Rodocanachi and Whelton families and his many friends. Special thanks to his nephew Noah and his Nanaimo ladies Pat McArthur, Linda Harvey and Liz Stewart-Jones from just a couple of his Vancouver ladies Christine Arcand and Hugette Gingras.
All welcome at a Gathering of Remembrance, 821 Farquar St., Nanaimo May 9 from 11:00 am.
