“The holy church of Aghios Trifonas of Agelasto. It seems that Pantias and Argyris Agelasto were the founders of the church in 27-4-1889, according to the date engraved on a plaque. The church is plunged into a wonderful environment.

“The tower of Agelasto in the district of Maroulou. Several features on the ground floor and on the first floor, especially the kathistico (the row of seats made of stone) are still preserved. Nowadays, the tower belongs to Lambros Filippidis.”

Between the two earthquakes of 1881 and 1949 the tower rose to an additional level.
