John Demetrius Caralli retired on 14 Jun 1865 from his partnership with John Alexander Petrocochino, Demetrius Petrocochino [possibly Dimitrios (Emmanuel) Petrocochino, Dimitrios (Michael) Petrocochino or Dimitrios (Nicolas) Petrocochino]and Alexander Petrocochino [possibly Alexander Pandia Petrocochino], as Merchants, at Liverpool, under the firm of John Petrocochino and Co., and at Alexandria, under the firm of D. and A. Petrocochino and Co. (London Gazette18 Aug 1865).

John Michel Caralli, merchant, Zifta, Egypt, was an investor in the Bank of Alexandria Limited (London Gazette 27 Feb 1873).

John Aug. Caralli, 54, b. seaman, married, Hydra, swore allegiance to the Greek state on 24 Apr 1882 at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros.
