    Notes:

    Dominie Nicholls (née Vlasto) says in her memoirs that he was hanged on Chios in 1822 though this is not known to Argenti's 'Libro d'Oro' or to Helen Long's 'Greek Fire'. (Christopher Long)

    Brother to Platon-Pantoleon Emmanuel Franghiadi, bishop of Chios, b. 1776 and hanged by the Turks in April 1822; and Sephen Emmannuel Franghiadi, b. 1774.
