    13 Aug 1837: Scarlatos M. Mavrogordato, 20, unmarried, born Chios, arrived Syros 1825, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros.

    Messrs. S. M. Mavrogordato and Co. Back King Street contributed £2 to the "Public Parks, &c. Subscriptions" (The Manchester Guardian, 10 May 1845, p 1).

    The 1863 office of Scarlatos Mavrogordato, 5 Queen st., Deangate, Manchester, shared the address with Nicholas J Ralli & Co., merchants [his brother-in-law].

    S.M. Mavrocordatos is listed among twenty individuals or businesses who met 26 Apr 1843 to write the Constitution of the Greek Community of Manchester.

    S.M. Mavrocordatos is listed as a warden for the Greek Church of Manchester, 1856-1857.
