    He worked with his brother Leone and their uncle Iannis 'John' Rodocanchi & Sons Co. In 1990 his portrait, which once hung in his own dining-room, was in the collection of Nancy (Ambrose) Demetriadi (née Rodocanchi).

    26 May 1842: Paul Z. Rodocanachi, 25, single, born Chios, arrived Syros 1833, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros. [The presumed birth year is several off from Argenti, who lists only this Paul Zannis.]

    Greek church records show a son Ioannis Matthaios Rodocanachi (2nd child) baptised 7 April 1853 at home in Liverpool - but how possible? Appears to have been based largely in Liverpool. (Christopher Long)

    P.Z. Rodocanachi & Co., established 1879, is on Contopoulos' list of principal Greek commercial houses in New York City.

    Mr. P. Z. Rodocanachi, Deansgate contributed £2 to the "Public Parks, &c. Subscriptions" (The Manchester Guardian, 10 May 1845, p 1).

    P.Z. Rodokanakis is listed as a warden for the Greek Church of Manchester, 1852-1853.

    P.Z. Rodocanachi signed a published petition in favor of the building of the Manchester and Southampton Railway Manchester Times and Gazette 20 Sep 1845.

    He proved the will of his brother Leonidas.

    Died:
    A death notice appeared in The Leeds Mercury, 28 Nov 1891 for P.G. Rodocanachi but it appears to be for this man. It reads: "Mr. P.G. Rodocanachi has died at his residence, in Sefton Park, Liverpool. The deceased gentleman had been a member of the firm of Messrs. Ralli Brothers, Greek merchants, whose commercial enterprise is so well known thruoghout Lancashire. Aged 71." An earlier notice, produced in the same newspaper three days earlier, was longer and even more glowing.

    Paul married Marigo (Ambrouzis) Ralli.
